Bayer , which is the only multinational company with agricultural products facility in Turkey; announced that it will increase its export of corn seeds and plant protection products from Turkey by expanding its production activities. The company will significantly increase its production at its agricultural products facilities in Kocaeli Gebze and Bursa Mustafakemalpaşa.
Bayer will increase the capacity utilization of the Gebze plant protection products factory, which has been operating since 1966 and whose production has been exported to more than 40 countries, by 50 percent. The company aims to open up to new foreign markets with increased production and to increase the export of plant protection products from Turkey.
Bayer also covers the area of DEKALB corn seed factory in Bursa Mustafakemalpaşa, which has been operating since 1990 and is one of the 6 important facilities in Europe; It expanded from 54 thousand square meters to 87 thousand square meters. With this investment, it is aimed to increase the seed production capacity by 50 percent in the short and medium term and thus to supply more seeds from Turkey to the European and Central Asian markets.
